Near the end of a tour, a horse pulled its shoe loose. The driver called his barn and kept going. At Meeting and Market, barn staff unhitched the horse and unloaded the wagon. The horse stepped on the toe clip, which penetrated between the hoof wall and the sole of the hoof causing bleeding on the street. The shoe was removed and the horse walked to the barn. A vet was called. The horse was removed from touring until the hoof healed and a vet released the horse back to work.
