While on a training tour with a new horse, the horse spooked from sounds of landscaping workers behind him. As the carriage wagon driver brought him, back to a walk, the horse bucked and land with one hind leg on the wrong side of the shaft. The horse became more agitated and continued bucking while trying to run. A second driver got off the carriage and got the horse to stop. The horse was removed from the wagon and walked back to the barn. The vet came and noted the horse had multiple superficial abrasions and deep muscle bruising on the inner left thigh. The vet treated for possible cellulitis and muscle trauma. The horse should be able to return to work in 7 days.
