While on tour, as a carriage wagon was starting up from a stop, the horses moved forward and broke the yoke pole. The wagon moved forward and hit the horses in the back of the legs and the horses started running. The driver got the horses to stop about 40 feet out and called the barn. Barn staff came and moved passengers to another wagon.
